Database Schema

The Workflow Engine database schema reference documents the storage objects used by every supported persistence provider. Choose a database below to review its tables or collections. Relational references list columns, database types, nullability, primary keys, defaults, and indexes, while the MongoDB reference lists collections and indexes.

Supported databases

Workflow Engine supports the following database schemas. Each provider page lists its minimum supported database version and links to a separate reference page for every persistence object.

Supported database schemas
DatabaseSchema contents
SQL ServerTables, columns, keys, defaults, and indexes
PostgreSQLTables, columns, keys, defaults, and indexes
MySQLTables, columns, keys, defaults, and indexes
OracleTables, columns, keys, defaults, and indexes
SQLiteTables, columns, keys, defaults, and indexes
MongoDBCollections and indexes

Frequently asked questions

Which Workflow Engine database providers have a schema page?

The reference includes SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQLite, and MongoDB persistence providers.

What information is included for relational database tables?

Each relational table page lists columns, database-specific types, nullability, primary keys, defaults, and indexes.

What information is included for MongoDB collections?

Each MongoDB collection page describes the collection purpose and lists its indexes. MongoDB does not define a fixed field list for documents, so the reference does not present collection fields as a relational schema.
